Longborough

Longborough Village Hall is in a delightful village set between 450 and 784 feet up in the Cotswold Hills adjacent to both Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh which each lie about 3 miles distant on the Fosseway, that wonderful Roman Road that links Lincoln with Exeter.

The hall is available for hire at the following rates (effective from September 2023):

  • Longborough Residents - £10 per hour
  • Non Longborough Residents - £14 per hour
  • Hire of Snooker Room - £6 per hour
  • Use of the kitchen (other than kettle) - £10

There is level access from the road into the hall.

Insurance

The Village Hall is fully insured for contents and public liability up to £1m

The existing policy can be viewed on the Hall noticeboard.

The main hall is approximately 74 square metres and can accommodate 90 people standing. Our insurance limits the number to 60 if seated theatre style or 50 if seated cabaret style. It is constructed with a wooden floor and has 4 radiators. There is a Table Tennis table which is in regular use by Moreton-in-Marsh U3A as well as some Longborough residents.

We have recently purchased a stand alone speaker system which may be used if desired.

There is also a sophisticated sound and video system that can be used for streaming or presentations. This system also includes an induction hearing loop.

The second hall, or Snooker Room, has a 3/4 size snooker table, used regularly by a Thursday afternoon group and two Thursday evening groups who alternate each week.

Kitchen

The kitchen has been completely updated with new units, cooker and industrial dishwasher.

It is very well equipped with new crockery, wine glasses, hi balls and champagne flutes.

Please note that we do NOT provide cooking utensils or pots and pans. (see also the 'News' page)
